August 8,
2003 Dad, Chad, Georgia and I checked out the south end of the `devils'
from Black Lake. Here we are at a small un-named lake above Black.
The drive into Black is long and not suited for cars. It took 2 hours
from Council.
In general, the south end is about 1000 ft lower than the north
end. |

2003 ... Short recon into Sheep Lake ... here's a young goat at pass
between Seven Devils CG and Mirror Lake. |

Mirror is 400 vertical feet below. ... I tried to get a pic as oat
ran across this outcropping, but alas, too slow with the camera. |

After
chasing the goat around for a while, checking with some other hikers who
appeared to be having trouble getting out of Mirror, and a swim in `the
pond' at Sheep Lake ... Chad climbed a rock, at left. We then hiked out
... total travel time about 3 hours ... with some swim time at the pond. |
