I went into one of our local grocery stores and asked what I thought was a simple, innocent question to the manager ... here in lil' ol' Moscow.  About a year or so ago the store did a remodel and put in an `organic' section.  A major producer of organic / natural stuff is only a few miles from here (Mary Janes Farm).  I asked the grocer what kind of volume the natural / organics section of the store does.  (It comprises say 35 percent of the floor space.)  She said - `not that much... maybe 15 percent'.  It kind of surprised me ... since it took up between a third and a fourth of the space, and there are a lot of `natural' people around.  As I stood there thinking about her answer, unsolicited, she said that the pharmacy does most of the volume.  SAY WHAT?!!!  Yeah, she said that the pharmacy does 60 percent of the volume of the store (leaving 40 percent for groceries - both brand name and organic).  WTF!!!

OUR GROCERY STORES ARE SELLING MORE DRUGS THAN GROCERIES!!!
