No responses.

 1.    Gobblers don't respond in the afternoon.

 2.    Gobblers could or would have responded, had there been any, ... but if there hadn't, maybe that's why there weren't any responses.

 3.    Gobblers did respond - but I didn't hear them.  Not likely.

 4.    The locator call actually worked perfectly - by using the call the gobblers were able to locate me, and escape and evade.

 5.    Related to Item 4 - I didn't sound very good.
