Seven Devils Solo Recon ... (2007)

Tower of Babel, Seven Devils Mountains ... from first good vista on road from Riggins to Seven Devils Campground and Heaven's Gate.

Tower of Babel is predominant and left of center.  The Ogre is at left of pic and behind.

The ridge reconned on this trip is center of pic on skyline.

The purpose of this trip was to recon the ridge from Goat Pass to the base of Babel and inspect the slot to the west of Baal - for possible short-cut passage into the upper Cannon Creek drainage, and on to Hanson.

Mirror Lake from first pass on Climbers Trail from Seven Devils Camp Ground to Sheep Lake. Beautiful.

I intended to stay just high of the white rock band starting low, left - but goats and perhaps a few climbers left sorts of trail up higher, just below the ridge line.

I have come out the ridge ... fine ... and now can look to Sheep lake and He Devil Peak.  She Devil is at the left of the frame with summit not quite visible.

Mt Baal.		She Devil (left) and He Devil (right).  Though not apparent in this pic He Devil is higher and is the area's highest.

Here's the slot I am considering using as a short-cut into the Cannon drainage.
